EXTREMELY COOL TRUE 3D HOLOGRAM OF THE LUNAR LANDER.
This hologram was created in the laboratory of Polaroid Holographics in Cambridge MA in the 1980s. The image was created from a model of a lunar lander about to set down on the surface of the moon! This is a two-channel image, the second channel shows the same model with a graphic of the thrusters turning on (shown in the second photo). This is an extremely 3D true film hologram and must be viewed under a quality illumination source to be seen in it's full glory, which can be direct sunlight (not in shadow or behind a cloud), halogen light, streetlamp at night, single LED etc. It will work in diffuse such as fluorescent or shadow light but not well.
The hologram is 3.2" placed on the surface of a black bent-lucite deskstand approximately 5" high and 3.75" wide (with the area bent back to serve as a stand about 3.75" X 2"). The stand is angled backwards in order to best catch the light.
The film color is red, though the hologram is a green/gold monochromatic image. This product is shipped in a zip-lock bag for protection. Note that the same image is also available matted ready to frame (as a different listing).
If you have any interest in holograms or the space program, this is a must-have for a great price!
Thanks for your interest.
